Letter to UEFA over the events at the Champions League Final featured in the Guardian

Our Partner, Tony Winterburn, spoke exclusively with the Guardian in February after Pogust Goodhead sent a letter to UEFA asking them to accept full responsibility for the events at the Champions League final in Paris by the end of the week.

Our clients suffered serious harm at the match and have continued to suffer since. We hope UEFA and its president, Aleksander Ceferin, will agree to initiate positive conversations and do the right thing.

Tony said: “If UEFA are sincere in their apologies to Liverpool fans and their commitment to making football a safe place for all to attend, we believe they will respond positively to our letter and begin talks with no further delays.

“Redress must go further than simply compensating fans for the cost of a football ticket. The extent and widespread suffering must be recognised by Uefa and president Aleksander Ceferin before our clients will attain any level of satisfaction.”
