Marc joined Pogust Goodhead as Partner in January 2022 to head up its Amsterdam office and help expand the firm’s Dutch group litigation and international arbitration practices. 

Marc started his career in 2007 and has over 15 years of experience as an international disputes lawyer. He has worked at some of the leading European law firms, both in the Netherlands and France. His experience includes acting as counsel in civil litigation before Dutch courts, in international commercial and investment arbitrations under various institutional rules, and in ad hoc proceedings. He also sits as an arbitrator and regularly advises clients on public international law and investment protection matters.  

Marc features in the Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration – Future Leaders guide since 2019. He has written and published extensively in the field of international arbitration and has guest-lectured on topics of international arbitration and advocacy at various academic institutions.

Some of Marc’s career highlights include:
– Acting for victims of aluminium refining activities of one of the largest global aluminium companies

– Acting for victims of salt mining activities of the largest petrochemical company in Latin America
– Acting for victims in collective proceedings against a major pharmaceutical company
– Sitting as arbitrator in a commercial LCIA arbitration
– Representing the Kingdom of Morocco in an ICSID arbitration against a Swedish investor
– Acting for shareholders in an African company in an ICC arbitration
