Cécile Rouméas

Cécile is a senior associate at Pogust Goodhead and specialises in complex international disputes. She is fluent in Dutch, English, and French. She is an author for the journal “Rechtspraak Aansprakelijkheids- en verzekeringsrecht” where she comments on case law on liability law.

Prior to joining Pogust Goodhead Cécile worked at NautaDutilh for 6,5 years, where she was part of the Dispute resolution team. She specialised in liability law and focused primarily on financial institutions. In 2020 she graduated from the post-academic course Corporation and Liability (Onderneming en aansprakelijkheid) from the Grotius Academy from the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Prior to joining Pogust Goodhead, she also gained considerable experience working as an in-house legal counsel in various roles.

Cécile was admitted to the Amsterdam bar in January 2015 after studying at Lyon III in Lyon, France for one semester and obtaining both a Master’s degree in Public International Law at Leiden University and the Togamaster (Civil Law) at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
