{"id":26105,"date":"2022-10-07T13:44:52","date_gmt":"2022-10-07T13:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pgmbmv2stg.wpengine.com\/pogust-goodhead-shortlisted-for-the-lawyer-european-awards-2022\/"},"modified":"2023-05-12T11:29:23","modified_gmt":"2023-05-12T11:29:23","slug":"pogust-goodhead-shortlisted-for-the-lawyer-european-awards-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wdev.pogustgoodhead.com\/nl\/pogust-goodhead-shortlisted-for-the-lawyer-european-awards-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Pogust Goodhead shortlisted for The Lawyer European Awards 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the prestigious Lawyer European Awards 2022.<\/p>\n<p>We have been shortlisted in two categories:\u00a0Global Firm of the Year in Europe and Most Innovative Technology Initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Our Global Firm of the Year in Europe nomination has been presented in recognition of the many successes\u00a0Pogust Goodhead\u00a0has had across our cases this year.<\/p>\n<p>Our triumphs this year span a plethora of litigations around the world and include landmark victories as well as precedent setting rulings.<\/p>\n<p>Here are three\u00a0highlights:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In July 2022, over 200,000 Brazilian claimants were given the go-ahead to <a href=\"https:\/\/pgmbmv2dev.wpengine.com\/over-200000-victims-celebrating-as-englands-largest-ever-lawsuit-is-given-go-ahead-to-proceed\/\">pursue litigation<\/a> in the courts of England and Wales over the Mariana dam collapse, the worst environmental disaster ever in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In May 2022, we helped reach a \u00a3193M UK <a href=\"https:\/\/pgmbmv2dev.wpengine.com\/193million-payment-to-volkswagen-drivers-agreed-in-uk-settlement\/\">settlement<\/a> with VW as part of our <a href=\"http:\/\/mydieselclaim.com\">My Diesel Claim<\/a> initiative, which now has over a million UK drivers signed up.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In September 2022 in The Netherlands, Pogust Goodhead represented over 10,000 victims of Brazil\u2019s \u2018sinking city\u2019 and secured a verdict allowing them to proceed with the claim against petrochemical company Braskem.<\/p>\n<p>Our nomination for the Most Innovative Technology Initiative comes from the work that our CTO,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wdev.pogustgoodhead.com\/nl\/team\/richard-hill\/\" data-attribute-index=\"2\" data-entity-hovercard-id=\"urn:li:fs_miniProfile:ACoAAADJ_NEBYk9SIgO-BnvXxLzTxK_MBYmESRo\" data-entity-type=\"MINI_PROFILE\">Rich Hill<\/a>, and his team have done in leading Pogust Goodhead\u2019s digital transformation.<\/p>\n<p>Rich and his team have helped us successfully introduce ground-breaking technology into our business, making it easier to handle a large number of clients.<\/p>\n<p>This technology has resulted in far more efficient processes, allowing the firm to be more agile and meet client needs more flexibly.<\/p>\n<p>We are so proud of the ground-breaking work all our staff are undertaking, and we are excited to continue our journey.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all the shortlisted firms! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelawyer.com\/the-lawyer-european-awards-2022-whos-made-the-shortlist\/\">See the full list here.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the prestigious Lawyer European Awards 2022.
