Phoebe Gunputh

Phoebe is an experienced litigator and a solicitor-advocate of England and Wales. Phoebe was a member of the team that achieved a £193 million settlement for the claimants in the Volkswagen NOx Emissions Group Litigation and continues to act in other emissions-related claims, competition law infringements and large-scale international actions.

Prior to joining Pogust Goodhead, Phoebe’s experience included:

• Representing management companies holding the musical works and recorded rights for an English rock band in multi-party litigation involving dissipation of assets by a former director;
• Success in the Court of Appeal in long-running partnership dispute;
• Securing worldwide freezing injunction of behalf of international property investor;
• Advising financial services provider in professional negligence & regulatory claims;
• Managing adjudications and enforcement in the Technology and Construction Court; and
• Preparing successful and novel application for service out of the jurisdiction by alternative means in multi-defendant music licence dispute alongside leading counsel.

Phoebe has a first class law degree and attended the University of London Institute in Paris for her master’s degree in international business law. She obtained her civil higher rights of audience in 2021.

Phoebe is Pogust Goodhead’s representative for the Junior London Solicitors Litigation Association, representing the interests of junior civil litigators in London.
