Adèle Bourguignon is a trainee solicitor in the International Dispute Resolution department.
Since joining Pogust Goodhead, in late 2018, her focus is on cross-border litigation involving multinational corporations where human rights abuses and environmental damages have been alleged.
Adèle notably works on the Mariana v BHP case in which Pogust Goodhead represents hundreds of thousands of Brazilian victims of the Fundão dam disaster. She is part of the legal team who obtained a landmark judgement on jurisdiction and parent company liability before the Court of Appeal in July 2022. She is also acts on behalf of thousands of Brazilian orange juice producers who allege competition law infringements in Viegas v Cutrale.
Adèle regularly travels to Brazil to meet with clients, assisting them in their fight for justice. She also has previous experience acting for clients based in Central Africa.
She has a keen interest in international law, sports and human rights with a long-standing involvement in supporting vulnerable children in Europe and West Africa.
